Marketing Your Library's Electronic Resources: A How-To-Do-It Manual for Librarians

The second edition of Kennedy and LaGuardia's Marketing Your Library's Electronic Resources is a step-by-step guide to producing and executing an electronic resources marketing plan. Marie Kennedy is the Serials and Electronic Resources Librarian at Loyola Marymount University and Cheryl LaGuardia is a Research Librarian with experience in collection development and online services at Harvard University. The authors present their ideas in two parts, consisting of six chapters and seven case studies. Several tables and illustrations provide the reader with clear examples of marketing plan information in action. Three more marketing plan examples were included in the 2nd edition at the request of readers as well as a new online marketing plan report template provided by the authors to assist in the marketing plan creation process. The book is built like a textbook with soft binding and large format. The build of the book lends itself to better production of associated tables and illustrations, however it also makes it a bit difficult to use on the fly on a crowded desk.
