摘要

Our world has shrunk. Personal computers and their smaller cousins, integrated circuits, occupy increasingly more space in our lives, shortening the time we need to complete many everyday tasks in our work and home lives. Not long ago, these devices functioned separately, each serving a highly specialized purpose such as recording a television show or adjusting the air temperature in a home. Adam Greenfield, however, believes that every device with a smidgen of intelligence is on a convergent path that will change the way we interact with the world around us and with each other.
