Despite the best intentions, spills happen...even in your company shop, garage, or storage area. Here's how to clean up a liquid pesticide spill on a concrete floor: 1. Protect yourself first. Make sure you're wearing the required personal protective equipment (PPE), as listed on the pesticide label. 2. Contain the spill. Keep the spill from spreading by circling it with sorbent snakes, absorbent, or, as a last resort, rags or paper towels. 3. Warn others. Keep others away from the spill area. Set up barriers if needed. 4. Ventilate the area. Open windows and doors but don't ventilate the room into occupied areas.
