The old house borer (OHB) is a long-horned beetle (Cerambycidae) that infests wood, usually before it is built into a structure, often before it is even processed. The female beetle lays her eggs in cracks and crevices of wood, usually stacked wood in lumberyards. This is why OHB is most often found in homes that are less than 10 years old.
