Bed bugs in offices are almost never true infestations, the bugs are not routinely feeding and breeding, but that doesn't lessen the panic among workers when bed bugs are found. Unlike in residences, offices generally have no sleeping or resting areas to infest (or treat) and no sleeping nighttime hosts. That can make bed bugs even harder to find and control. In offices, bed bugs tend to wander at night looking for blood meals. They can spread into unpredictable locations before anyone is aware of them.
