Cool Kit Awarded ISO14001:2004 for Environmental Management System

CoolKit, specialist in the manufacture and fitting of refrigerated van conversions, has just achieved the ISO14001:2004 Environmental Management System (EMS) Standard, adding to last year's achievement of the ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System (QMS) Standard.rnThe need for an Environmental Management System (EMS) became clear as the variety of vehicle manufacturers with whom CoolKit deals explained how their own manufacturing plants were phasing in such a standard. This was necessary, they said, to minimise damage to the environment resulting from vehicle manufacturing operations, to minimise consumption of increasingly precious raw materials, and to minimise the amount of energy consumed in manufacturing processes.
