Answer: Prior to purchasing Courier Express Refrigerated Transport back in 2003, I worked for 15 years in temperature controlled vehicle hire with many of the market leaders at that time. My final appointment was in business development for a leading rental company. Central to my role was establishing a true presence in the North of England, which is something the business didn't have at the time. After a period of 6 months I successfully opened a depot in the North and controlled the depot for a further 4 years, overseeing an extensive growth in the fleet to over 400 refrigerated vehicles. Following this success, I decided to purchase Courier Express Refrigerated Transport in 2003, which at the time was a very small refrigerated courier business in the North West of England. As Managing Director of Courier Express my vision was to grow the business and take it onto a larger platform by developing a truly national temperature controlled courier service.
