A survey of 200 IT professionals from various industries and regions worldwide finds that only 15 percent of organizations are fully prepared to support mobile requirements, despite the fact that 60 percent indicated they considered mobile management important or critical to their business. Larger organizations are more likely to be prepared than smaller organizations by roughly 50 percent. A company's perception of the importance of workforce mobility is more significant than economic factors, the size of the company or the resources it has available. The survey also found an increasing awareness of the need for a unified approach to endpoint management with more than half of survey respondents indicating a preference for a single solution that supports both mobile devices and PCs.
