Erratum to 'The winner of the 2006 ECOSS-Prize' [Surf. Sci. 601 (18) (2006) 3669, Coverdate: 15 September 2007]

The Publisher regrets that during the production process of the Proceedings of ECOSS-24, the photo of the winner of the 2006 ECOSS-Prize, Marcelo Ackermann, has been missed. The Publisher apologises to authors and to readers for this. Marcelo Ackermann (1980) studied physics at Leiden University in The Netherlands between 1998 and 2003. His MSc. project was split in two parts, the first in the group of Prof. Joost Frenken in Leiden, where Ackermann was involved in the first STM experiments on model catalysts under high-pressure reaction conditions, and the second at the European Synchrotron Radiation Facility in Grenoble in the group of Prof. Salvador Ferrer, where he performed high-pressure surface X-ray diffraction (SXRD) experiments. His stay in Grenoble was so successful that it initiated a joint appointment for Ackermann as a PhD student, spending half of his time in Grenoble and the other half in Leiden.
