This issue of Studies in Conservation is thicker than usual, and I trust that all readers should find something of interest within it. The ten papers include subjects relevant to architectural, objects, textile, paintings, and photograph conservation. For those with a particular interest in architectural conservation, the distinguished Forbes Prize Lecture that was delivered by Manfred Roller at the IIC Congress in Vienna explores topics on the philosophical, political, social, and cultural issues involved in preservation of urban cityscapes and architectural facades. Objects conservators may find five papers especially useful.
