A Letter from the Editor

This month we have a human space flight special, looking at strategies unfolding from NASA and some of the commercial contractors, as well as a possible link between the European Space Agency and Russia on a Moon base, while China is making assertive announcements positively aligning its future roadmap with settlements on the lunar surface. And while much is being made in the popular press about commercial operators planning trips to Mars there is little doubt that it will be a long time before human boot prints are left in red dust.
