Shuttle delivers spares stash to ISS

Space Shuttle Atlantis and her enlarged crew of six men plus one woman returned safely to Earth on 27 November 2009 (9:44 am EST) wrapping up an exceedingly successful 11 day STS-129 flight to deliver heavy equipment and spare parts to the International Space Station (ISS). With commander Charles 'Scorch' Hobaugh at the helm, pilot Barry Wilmore deployed the landing gear and the orbiter swooped in for a picture perfect touchdown on runway 33 of the Shuttle Landing Facility at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, wrapping up the 31st Shuttle flight to the Space Station and the 31st flight of Atlantis.
