UK drive for military satellite growth

At a conference organised by SMi Global, the UK Ministry of Defence asserted a need for expanded communications capability within the next 10 years. Confirming satisfaction with the current deal with Astrium Services, the MoD said that it believed a Strategic Defence & Security Review in 2015 should address the long term requirement for expanded satellite communications capability to meet the growing demand for services.
