IN A LANDMARK AGREEMENT announced on 9 June, Sierra Space has signed an initial memorandum of understanding with Spaceport Cornwall that could see Dream Chaser spaceplanes landing in Newquay following flights to the International Space Station - perhaps as early as next year. The agreement clears the way for moves to rate Newquay as an approved orbital landing site, thereby giving the UK its first point of return for winged spacecraft.
