The story of Apollo 11 is an epic one, told countless times before. Its white-clad heroes, Armstrong, Collins and Aldrin, are now figures of legend. So the question is how do you tell the story in an original way, given a half century of analysis and media scrutiny? This was the task that faced Todd Douglas Miller in his film to mark the 50th anniversary of the mission and he has answered the question by unearthing footage never before seen in public. Much of this work was carried out by UK-based archivist Stephen Slater, who has trawled through thousands of hours of NASA footage. The results are stunning.
