1. Iridium likely won't need to replace Iridium NEXT satellites until the early 2030s2. With Iridium NEXT satellites coming online, exactEarth started exactView RT service in May 2017, and Iridium began testing Iridium Certus in October 20173. The first batch of 10 Iridium NEXT satellites finally launched on January 14, 2017, with more batches expected to follow.
