The airlines are at it again. They want to get permission to cut back the air flow in passenger compartments even further. The objective is to save fuel, which has become much more costly in recent times. The last time fuel prices soared, the airlines convinced Congress that they should allow less air circulation to save on fuel. Now they want to cut it even more. This proposal is being opposed by many of their employees, who complain of stale air and shortness of breath on long flights.
