Experimental dissolution of CaCO_3-MnCO_3 solid solutions in CO_2-H_2O solutions at 20℃ I. Synthetic low-temperature carbonates

The dissolution behavior of three synthetic Ca_((1-x))Mn_xCO_3 solid solutions (X = 0.25, 0.48, 0.75; space group R3c) in CO_2-saturated solutions at 20℃ is investigated by batch-type experiments. The reaction paths are compared to thermodynamic equilibrium and stoichiometric saturation conditions.
