摘要

A single-chip implementation of an IEEE 1451 standard transducerninterface module (STIM) is presented. It integrates an eight-channel,n12-b, analog-to-digital converter (ADC), two 12-b digital-to-analognconverters, and an 8-b microcontroller with 256-B SRAM and 10.5-kB flashnEEPROM. Process complexity is simplified by using a split-gate flashnEEPROM cell with poly-poly erase, and metal-poly capacitors with ancalibration algorithm in the ADC. The chip is 5.0×5.5 mm inn0.6-Μm CMOS, operates over 2.7-5.5 V, dissipates 13 mA at 3 V/12 MHz,nand is packaged in a 52-pin plastic quad flat pack package
