CHARACTERISTICS OF THE MANTUROVO DEPOSIT SHALE AND THE PRODUCTS OF ITS PROCESSING

The high-sulfur shale of the Manturovo deposit and the products of its thermal processing were studied under confitions simulating the Galoter process in insallations with a solid heat-transfer agent (ISHT). With respect to the mineral and organic matter, and also the technological and ecological parameters, the shale meets the requirements to materials to be processed in installations with a solid heat-transfer agent realizing the Galoter process. This deposit can be the basis for setting up industrial shale-processing enterprises with ISHT. The expected yield of the target and by-products in the industrial processing of run-of-the-min shale are appraised. The composition, properties, and possible directions of using the products of shale processing in these installations are studied.
