PROGRESS IN THE FIELD OF PRODUCTION OF LIQUID FUEL BY HYDROGENATION OF COALS

The problem of production of liquid fuel and chemical raw material for organic synthesis from coals remains urgent in Russia and other countries. At present, intensive investigations are carried out in many countries, which are concerned with the improvement of the hydrogenation method and the refinement of existing technologies implemented in the industry. The present paper describes the results of investigations and experiments carried out at the Institute for Solid Fossil Fuels over the past several years with the aim of intensifying the domestic technology of hydrogenation of coals, project refinement and the substantiation of investments in the construction of an industrial plant with a capacity of 500,000 tons of liquid products per year.
