Based on the mathematical-statistical analysis of the data on the composition and reactivity of 24 samples of brown coals of the Uryup deposit (Kansk-Achinsk basin, KAB), the authors established the contributions of macerals of huminite (Ht) (vitrinite), liptinite (L) and inertinite (I) groups to the basic indices of hydrogenation liquefaction according to the technology developed by the Institute for Solid Fossil Fuels (IGI). According to the degree of conversion of coal organic matter and the yield of liquid products, the macerals are arranged in the following sequence: L > Ht > I. Liptinite is completely converted with the formation of liquid products. It is shown that the drying of coal samples to the residual moisture W~a ≤ 2% leads to an increase in reactivity of Ht and its decrease for maceral group I.
