It has been established that upon barothermal treatment of an alcohol-water-coal fuel (AWCF) the granulometric composition of the disperse phase, the microhardness of coal particles and their microstructure are changed. Apart from this, there occur thermochemical processes which lead to an increase in the carbon content and a decrease in the oxygen content in the dispersed phase of AWCF. The maximum carbon content (73.03 mass %) and the lowest value of the microhardness of the disperse phase are achieved upon barothermal treatment of AWCF at 270℃ for 1 hr.
