The authors have studied samples of carbonaceous molecular sieves based on the products of thermal degradation (carbonization) of various carbonaceous materials (coals of a wide metamorphism series, wood and agricultural wastes, etc.). Basic relationships were established between the quality characteristics of carbonaceous molecular sieves (CMSs) and the composition of the feed, the technological parameters of thermal treatment and the porous structure of the base material. Carbonaceous molecular sieves were produced, which are efficient for the separation of air with the production of technically pure nitrogen.
