摘要

After reviewing climate-change-induced natural events, the authors specifically address geo-disasters triggered as a result of climate change combined with other non-associated events such as earthquakes. In addition to lessons learned from recent typical case histories in Japan and other countries, potential future compound geo-disasters are investigated. As a consequence of the above-mentioned review, it is suggested that global warming will be closely related to an increase in geo-disasters. An emphasis has therefore been placed on the importance of adaptation strategies and techniques suitable for situations in different areas and countries.
