Linux on the Desktop: A Guide for Windows Users

Nearly every PC user has heard about Linux. It's received an enormous amount of attention in the past few years. Even though its low cost (free in some cases), extremely stable, and very flexible, it still trails far behind Windows on the desktop. However, there are more and more people moving to Linux on the desktop lately for many reasons. We'll present an introduction to the Linux desktop environment for Windows users who are considering taking the plunge, but don't have a strong grasp of Linux' advantages and disadvantages.
