America's cities are facing a difficult challenge to pave the way for next-generation broadband connectivity, but the rewards for preparing for a 5G future could be "immeasurable," according to Richard Adler, a noted Silicon Valley tech expert and Distinguished Fellow at the Institute for the Future (IFTF). Mr. Adler made his remarks on a conference call Tuesday in which he outlined some specific issues that state and local policymakers must address in order to realize the full potential of 5G broadband.
