ROSTProM: A Reuse-Oriented Software Testing Process Model

摘要

Researchers in the field of software testing strive to achieve three goals: minimize the test effort, shorten the test cycle, and upgrade the quality of the software testing processes. The practice of reuse in software testing definitely aids in achieving these goals. In this paper, the authors present a reuse-oriented software testing process model, ROSTProM, which suggests the integration of reuse-speeific activities to the software testing phase, and thereby proposes a skeleton structure for revising testing process models as per integration of reuse. Along with the model, some possible reusable test artifacts and reuse opportunities in software testing are identified. This model may be used by academicians and professionals in proposing and devising software testing environments, tools, and techniques.
