Software technology in South Korea: an emerging industry

摘要

The software industry in South Korea has a short history and a weak financial structure despite a remarkable growth in quality. Most companies are not equipped properly to deal with large and long-term projects. However, forseeing an emerging information-based society, the government has decided to strongly push software development. An overview is given of public, university, and industrial research and development in this area.
