This issue of SEN contains the abstracts of the papers, which were presented on the Second Joint WOSP/SIPEW International Conference (ICPE 2011), held in Karlsruhe - Germany, March 14-16, 2011, now established as a regular event known as ACM/SPEC International Conference on Performance Engineering (ICPE). The primary goal of this conference series is to bridge the gap between theory and practice in the field of computer systems performance engineering by providing a forum for sharing ideas and experiences between industry and academia.
