Clif Flynt's Tcl/Tk: A Developer's Guide is in its third edition; the first edition - with a different title, Tcl/Tk For Real Programmers - appeared 15 years ago, having about 700 pages. Since its second edition, published in 2003, the book has borne the current title and is included in The Morgan Kaufmann Series in Software Engineering and Programming. Considering the pragmatic categorization of programming languages as defined by Michael Scott, Tcl (Tool Command Language, abbreviated as Tcl) is a member of the family of scripting languages.
