Improved JDBC Support for SQL Server

The SQL Server development team will be officially releasing a new Java Database Connectivity (JDBC) driver for both SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005: the Microsoft SQL Server 2005 JDBC Driver. Based on the tremendous uptake, feedback and usage of the previous SQL Server 2000 JDBC driver, the team is committed to providing enterprise-class JDBC connectivity and support for SQL Server, along with a long-term road map to ensure that the latest JDBC spec implementations are available to SQL Server customers as the specification evolves. In addition, a major update to the new driver is the ISV-friendly licensing structure that enables the driver to be freely redistributable for all registered partners building applications on SQL Server.
