More Record Flying in the Great Basin: The Summer of 2014

In an article in the March 2014 issue of Soaring ("Record Flying in the Great Basin in the Summer of 2013: How Did This Happen?") I engaged in some self-analysis of my growth as a soaring pilot. The puzzle I tried to unravel was: What accounted for my going from a wannabe record pilot for many years prior to the summer of 2013 to achieving eight U.S. National soaring records in the single-seat motorglider class in a period of six weeks that summer? The present article is a continuation of that story, though with more emphasis on describing flights than on self-analysis.
