First Flights and Intro to Turns, Stability, and Stall

The next demonstration during lesson two is pitch stability. Trim the glider for about 50 kt. Have the student move the stick forward slightly to about 60 kt, then relax the stick pressure and witness how the glider returns to 50 kt after a few oscillations and, thus, is pitch stable. Demonstrate slowing to 40 kt, releasing the controls, and allowing the glider to resume trimmed speed of 50 kt.
