SSA's Presence at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh™ 2018

The Experimental Aircraft Association's AirVenture® 2018 was a success by several measures. It attracted over 600,000 visitors (2% larger than in 2017) and brought in $106M to the Oshkosh community. The Soaring Society of Americas booth has remained in the same visible location for the last few years, close to Boeing Plaza just off Celebration Way. The booth attracted many potential glider pilots, like Ilua Connolly who just soloed at 14, those looking for a glider add-on to their ratings, and young people with an interest in aviation like Chi Huynh of Milwaukee. Chi has now taken her first glider ride and is interested in continuing.
