Speaker: U.S. can again become manufacturing powerhouse

The United States can return to being a global leader in the manufacturing industry. That was the message presented by two keynote speakers during a presentation at the Fabricators and Manufacturers Association's 15th annual Tool Processing Conference March 2-4 in Orlando, Fla. Emily DeRocco, president of the Manufacturing Institute and the National Center for the American Workforce; and Dan DiMicco, chairman,, president and CEO of Nucor Corp., each told the gathering of more than 200 executives that U.S. manufacturing can again lead the world.
