Covertech/rFoil expands patent portfolio

Covertech/rFoil has patented a product which the company says satisfies the need for reflective thermal insulation that meets Class A standards. The new patent follows two earlier U.S. patents. The inventor named in each patent is Furio Orologio, one of the founders of Covertech. The two earlier patents were directed to the use of insulation comprising metal-polymeric film for bubble-pack assemblies. The latest patent extends the use of the insulation based on metalized polymeric film to other structures as well, such as multilayered assemblies or foams.
