摘要

In this paper, we explore how component-based Modeling and Simulation can benefit from the Levels of Conceptual Interoperability Model, which is a three-level interoperation model, by proposing an ontology-based and domain-independent approach supporting composability (conceptual level) and interoperability (during execution). The proposed approach is in accordance with three standards: High-level Architecture for the implementation level, Base Object Model for the conceptual level, and meta object facility for the knowledge level. We apply this approach in implementing a normalized large-scale rescue management system by reusing existing agent-based simulators. The proposed approach is useful for modeling complex systems and facilitating interoperation between models (conceptual level) and between simulators (implementation level).
