60th anniversary special issue

With this anniversary issue, we celebrate 60 years of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (SCS). Founded in 1952 as a nonprofit volunteer-driven organiza tion, SCS became the premier technical society that pro vides a forum to advance the theory and methodology of modeling and simulation (M&S) and its applications to solve real-world problems, while facilitating communica tion among professionals in the field of simulation.
