摘要

The problem of discriminating between underground nuclear explosions and natural earthquakes is considered in this paper. The feature of statistical self-affine fractal yielded from the logarithmic power spectrum is presented, and five novel features obtained from the evolution of the signal energy with scale are also included, together with the relationships between the features advocated. Seismological pattern recognition results are shown to demonstrate the potential of the proposed methodologies of feature extraction.
