Report on the first Workshop on Innovative Querying of Streams

摘要

The first workshop on INnovative QUErying of STreams (INQUEST) was held on September 25-27, 2012 in the Department of Computer Science of the University of Oxford (UK). It was sponsored by the UK's Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), as part of the project "Enforcement of Constraints on XML Streams". Stream processing represents a thriving area of research across the algorithms, databases, networking, programming languages, and systems research communities. Within the database community, a "classical" problem is query processing on streams of discrete tuple-oriented data.
