Sloshing measurement tests est for full-seale ship trials

Full-scale measurements of the forces exerted by cargo sloshing in LNG membrane tanks are to be undertaker on a newbuild vessel set for delivery next year, under a joint industry research project launched by DNV. The initiative has the ultimate aim of developing more reliable methods for designing membrane containment systems, in the light of increasing LNG carrier size.
