Studying for and earning the Network+ certification helps to prepare the individual for more advanced training on vendor-specific products. Microsoft identifies Network+ as an elective in its MCSA track. Novell NetWare 5 CNE certification recognizes Network+ certification as fulfilling Novell's Networking Technologies (course 565) CNE requirement, and the Cisco Academy program recommends it as a precursor to its CCNA certification.
