DHA RELEASES SAFER COMMUNITIES FUNDING: GRANTS UP TO $A1 MILLION FOR SECURITY TECHNOLOGY

DEPARTMENT of Home Affairs has released Round 5 of its Safer Communities Fund grants, offering funding for CCTV, alarm systems, access control, bollards, intercoms, PAs, security lighting and more. The grants, which are drawn from the seized proceeds of crime, provide schools and pre-schools, places of religious worship, community organisations and local councils with grants of up to $A1 million for crime prevention initiatives aimed at reducing crime, violence, anti-social behaviour and/or other security risks driven by racial and/or religious intolerance.
