Daytona Race Ticket Effort Nets Council Members Visit With Driver

The Daytona Beach Area Council's (DBAC) Team 64 sold out its Superstretch Suite Benefit tickets for the 2012 running of the Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 and Budweiser Shootout Feb. 18 at Daytona International Speedway - and got to meet and greet one of the drivers as a result. Team 64 is named after the council's adopted ships, the guidedmissile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) and guided-missile cruiser USS Gettysburg (CG 64), and includes Robert Coleman, Bobbie Coleman, Ray Huther, Ted Turowski, Karen Turowski and Ernie Gallo. All profits received from the fund-raiser will assist the council in sponsoring Carney, Gettysburg, the U.S. Naval Sea Cadets Corps and Navy Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC).
