At the close of Ipex 2006, IIR Exhibitions stated the exhibition exceeded all expectations with 52,432 individual visitors passing through the doors. With the inclusion of repeat visits, this figure reached 82,537 over eight days. Reinforcing the event's global impact, 40 per cent of visitors came from overseas. Regions with particular growth opportunities included Eastern Europe, the Middle East and South East Asia, with over 2,000 visitors coming from each area.
