In line with the transition from the darkroom to the digital arena, llford has created Galerie Gold Fibre Silk, a 310gsm inkjet media featuring a traditional barium sulphate (baryta) base. The baryta base is said to enhance the media surface to give the creamy whites and velvety blacks of a true fibre print, producing high definition images with an extended tonal range for exhibition quality. A backing layer ensures the final image has minimal curl and with no unnecessary additives, the media is designed to last like a traditional photo print.
