Magnet-Assisted Transfection (MATra) exploits a strong magnetic force to deliver nucleic acids that are bound to magnetic nanoparticles in a very fast (15 minute transfection time!) and effective manner into many different, hard-to-transfect cell lines and primary cells. MATra shows low cytotoxicity, is functional with and without serum, is compatible with adherent or suspension cells, and can be combined with other common transfection reagents/methods for optimal results.
