Loudon county, virginia, and somersrnTown, London, sit at opposite ends of the social spectrum. Loudon County is, in terms of median household income, the wealthiest of the 3141 counties in the United States. Somers Town is one of the poorest quarters of inner London, a working-class community hemmed in between the railway lines feeding into Kings Cross station.
