The fifth most common form of cancer worldwide is the number three cause of cancer deaths, and it is not easy to treat, in part because liver cells are adapted to metabolize and destroy potentially effective drugs. Two new papers in the Top Ten list offer the strong possibility that better therapies are not too far away.
